Alia Armstrong, a sophomore at LSU, won the women's 100-meter hurdles title in 12.57 seconds at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Armstrong, who became the first LSU female athlete to win the 100 hurdles crown since Joyce Bates in 2000, also contributed to the Tigers placing fourth in the 4x100-meter relay in 42.62 seconds as LSU tied with Texas A&M for fourth place overall with 39 points.
